Each of the courses outlined in this document are customized for the individual Agency or organization.  Each of these courses can be delivered using live (face-to-face) instruction, blended delivery (live instruction combined with online course material) or eLearning (Online webinars combined with online course material) depending on the needs of the client organization.

Strategic Management & Organizational Development Training Series

Course Description:  The Strategic Management and Organizational Development Program is designed for executives, managers, and supervisory employees.  The primary objectives of the eight, two-hour courses are to provide attendees with 1) a comprehensive overview of the strategic management process and 2) tools, techniques, and processes for creating, managing, and evaluating mission-critical initiatives of the organization.

Strategic Management and Organizational Development Series is a 16 hour program that can be delivered in two eight-hour course blocks or eight two-hour course blocks.  For organizations or individuals not needing the entire training series, the courses can be taken individually as described below.  The courses can be delivered in a classroom-based, instructor-led format or as a web-based course delivered via the Internet.  If the client agency, department, etc. desires a web-based delivery it is recommended that the course be delivered in 2.0 hour course modules.

Leadership Management Training Series

Course Description:  The Leadership Management Series is designed experienced managers/leaders, inexperienced managers/leaders and those individual contributors being considered for management/leadership roles in the organization.  The primary course objectives are to provide attendees with:  1) an understanding of the concept of a “Leadership Culture”, 2) the roles and responsibilities of manager/leaders in today’s organizations, 3) a dynamic framework for “thinking and acting strategically”, and 4) proven methodologies for creating and managing/leading results-oriented work teams.

Leadership Management Series is a twelve hour program that can be delivered in two six-hour course blocks or six two-hour course blocks.  For organizations or individuals not needing the entire training series, the courses can be taken individually as described below.   The courses can be delivered in a classroom-based, instructor-led format or as a web-based course delivered via the Internet.  If the client agency, department, etc. desires a web-based delivery it is recommended that the course be delivered in two-hour course modules.

Executive Development Training Series

Course Description:  The Executive Development Program is designed for the senior manager or manager who is considering an executive position.  The primary course objectives are to provide attendees with:  1) a description of the “strategic” roles and responsibilities of the executive, 2) an approach to establishing a “Leadership Culture” within an organization, 3) tools and techniques for time management, delegation, and communication, and 4) strategies for networking with peers.

Team Development Training Series

Course Description:   The Team Development Series is for the executive, manager, or supervisor.  The primary course objectives are to provide the attendees with:  1) a strategic framework for creating and managing effective partnerships, 2) methods for creating effective team charters, 3) tools and techniques for creating and conducting effective team meetings, 4) process for creating team goals and objectives, and operational plans, 5) tools and techniques for creating internal and external team communication, and 6) tools and techniques for evaluating and reporting team progress against plan.

Team Development is a 16 hour program that can be delivered in two eight-hour course blocks or four-four hour course blocks.   For organizations or individuals not needing the entire training series, the courses can be taken individually as described below.  The course can be delivered in a classroom-based, instructor-led format or as a web-based course delivered via the Internet.  If the client agency, department, etc. desires a web-based delivery it is recommended that the course be delivered in two-hour course modules.”

Partnering Training Series

Course Description:  The partnering course is designed for executives, manager, or supervisory personnel.  The primary course objectives are to provide the attendees with 1) a strategic framework for establishing effective partnerships, 2) methods for creating LOU’s/MOU’s (Letters of Understanding/Memos of Understanding) and definitive agreements 3) methods for creating and managing the operating agreements of the partnership, and 4) tools and techniques for managing, evaluating, and reporting partnership-based work.

Accelerated Leadership Academy

The KCA Accelerated Leadership Academy is an award-winning Leadership Development program designed for experienced executives, managers, supervisors and those individual contributors about to become leaders in their organizations.  The KCA Leadership Academy is a five to six month offering delivered in a blended format (combinations of classroom-led, webcasts or videoconferences, and online training modules).

Distance Learning Training Series

Course Description:  The Distance Learning Training Series is designed for Agencies or Offices engaged in or planning to engage in distance learning activities including: Learning Strategy Development, Learning Needs Assessments, Learning Methodology Selection, Blended Learning Strategy, Learning Management System Selection, Learning Management System Implementation, Video-Conference Implementation, Video-Conference Utilization, Web-Conference Implementation, Web-Conference Utilization, Learning Content Strategy, Learning Content Planning, Learning Content Development, Learning Content Implementation and Learning Effectiveness Measurement

The Distance Learning Training Series is organized into multiple four-hour course topics.  The learning topics are paired with Facilitation services to assist the organizations in the planning and implementation of the Distance Learning strategies and/or technologies.  For organizations or individuals not needing the entire training series, the courses can be taken individually as described below.   The courses can be delivered in a classroom-based, instructor-led format or as a web-based course delivered via the Internet.  If the client agency, department, etc. desires a web-based delivery it is recommended that the course be delivered in two hour course modules.

Closed POD (Point of Dispensing) Training

The Closed POD training was developed in conjunction with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, Office of Preparedness and Response to teach organizations how to mass dispense medications to their employees and their families in the case of a declared Public Health emergency (Anthrax, Smallpox, Influenza, Plague, etc.) which would require immediate response to inoculate them.

The Closed POD training is organized into a single 3 hour session.  The session consists of a classroom presentation and an exercise involving setup and implementation of a Closed POD.  KCA’s instructors are certified by the Department of Homeland Security to be Closed POD trainers.
